Hi Friends!
I'm going to go ahead and kick off this new blog with a super-easy, incredibly fun little craft project. You know those adorable vintage can vases you've been seeing all over the blogs and Pinterest? Well, I have no idea where to find them (and believe me, I've looked)! I finally just decided to try and make my own. And you know what? They turned out great!
Here's what I did: I raided my recycling bin for cans of different shapes and sizes:
Then I scraped off the labels and gave them a good scrubbing.
I cut out some of my favorite vintage labels from this totally cool book my friends, Donie and Elle, gave me:
And then I mod-podged my favorite labels right onto the cans.
At first I tried to find designs that matched up exactly to the size of the can, but then I decided that they looked cute with a little of the silver showing.
I was so excited about the way they turned out that I immediately ran out to pick up some colorful flowers to put in them.
Voila!
Want to make your own completely fun cans? Well, in honor of my brand-new blog site, I'm going to give away two sets of labels to two lucky winners.
All you need to do is leave me a comment and you'll be entered to win. Each winner will win 8-10 cute labels. The giveaway ends Sunday at 7 pm. Winners will be announced on Monday's blog!
Have a fabulous day!
XO,
Vicki
