The freezer is filled to capacity thanks to Christy's fiance, Michael, who stopped by yesterday with a batch of homemade lasagna (enough to feed an army!), stuffed green peppers, and a huge pot of chicken noodle soup. (A gourmet chef in the family? Yes. It is as awesome as it sounds).

After another good night's sleep, Mom is down to one Vicodin every six hours, instead of two. A good sign, for sure.

I am living out of my small suitcase. Sweatshirts and athletic pants every day. I have not removed the makeup bag from my suitcase. Bliss.

Mom and I nurse Venti Non-Fat Chai Lattes all day long. She says they sooth her sore throat and bring her comfort. My thoughts exactly.
Classical music plays all day long. It reminds me of how much I enjoy classical music. I think it's a good choice while drinking Chai Lattes in your sweatpants and helping your mom heal.
I washed mom's hair yesterday. I gave her a good head massage, because I love that part the very best. I think she does too.
